Wireless Fujinon 3D Lens Control

   

 



   

The Wireless Fujinon 3D Lens Control allows the focus, iris, zoom, and camera VTR functions of a stereo pair of lenses (3D) to be controlled through a thirty channel, 2.4 GHZ wireless link. Function keys allow the user to select which functions are to be controlled remotely, and which are to be controlled locally on the lens, or through the camera. Cables are available for lenses fitted with either 10-pin or 20-pin Hirose connectors. A Command receptacle is also provided to allow for a cable link to the HU3 hand unit.

The HU3 Hand Unit with the Microforce zoom control (left above) provides the precision and reliability demanded by feature cinematography. New "Lens Tweak" software included in the HU3 allows the user to correct for the small optical and mechanical differences between the 3D stereo lens pair. The result: accurate tracking in focus, iris, and zoom.

The HU3 also features "Lens Mapping" software that allows the focus distances of a lens to be matched to a set of five pre-marked focus scale rings. These rings differ in their minimum focus markings from 9" (.35m) to 6' (2m). The focus rings have markings printed on a bright fluorescent background providing excellent visibility under any lighting condition. The on-board lens library holds data for 250+ lenses, freeing the assistant from having to mark up individual rings.

Operation

1. Connect the Wireless Fujinon Lens Control unit to the Lenses using either cable 4431 or 4432.

2. Connect the power cable to a 12-28VDC power source.

3. Press the Power Key. The two digit channel display will light

4. Press the keys corresponding to the functions that are to be controlled remotely. The LED's will indicate the active selection(s).

5. Select the desired radio channel for the Fujinon 3D Wireless Control using the up/down keys to the right of the channel indication display. There are 30 channels (0 - 29).

6. Set the channels on the HU3 to the same channel as above.

7. To turn off the power from the FIZ3 hand unit (HU3) or the Fujinon Wireless 3D Control, keep the power button depressed for approximately 5s, until the LED's go off.
